Statement from the Charles Town Utility Board’s Board of Directors on the Resignation of Utility Manager Kristen Stolipher

Published: 2/06/26

Yesterday afternoon, the Charles Town Utility Board accepted the resignation of Utility Manager Kristen Stolipher. Kristen served our community for more than eight years, first as Assistant Utility Manager before being named Utility Manager in 2020.

Kristen has put in long hours to provide high quality, affordable services to our customers, all the while navigating a complex regulatory structure and competitive marketplace. Her commitment to following the Board’s “growth pays for growth” policy has ensured that the utility can continue to grow without burdening long-time CTUB customers.

Please join us in thanking Kristen for her service to Charles Town.

The Board has named April Shultz Interim Utility Manager. The Board will update the community on the search for a new Utility Manager in the week ahead.
